Britannia Beckwith removals of Sussex are the longest established removals company based in Brighton with company history spanning 88 years. Founded in 1926 by Alfred Beckwith, Beckwith removals of Sussex have been carrying out household removals for the residents of Brighton and Sussex ever since (except between 1939 – 1945 when Alf closed the business to go and fight for king and country). The present owners bought the business from Alf on his retirement in 1984, inheriting two rather “tired” vehicles and one employee. Beckwith Removals of Sussex now run 9 modern removal vans and employ 12 full-time removal staff. Whilst still continuing to move families within Brighton and the Sussex area we are now one of the leading companies in Sussex carrying out removals to Europe and beyond. Every week we have two or three vans carrying out removals to France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. Joining Britannia Movers International in 1987 opened the overseas shipping market and we have never looked back. Our trained export packers are packing and loading shipments for Australia, New Zealand, USA, South Africa and beyond every week of the year.
